The NYStix AJ9 is new big barrel wood bat model to our line up. Many player who want to swing the 243 and are not ready, want an alternative. So we got on the computer and gave the 243 a woodcut. We took of the sharp turns, added thickness to the transition. Now the bat is now a smoother swinging model.
The AJ9 is a definite improvement for hitters who want a to use a bigger stick without sacrificing the swing.
And for us, we don’t need a super lightweight billet to make the AJ9.
